FUN WEEKEND W/ BB, PAWPAW and GRAMMY

BB and Pawpaw came from Memphis, TN and Grammy came from Jackson, MS for Pax's baptism. We had such a fun time with them. Here's a few shots from the weekend. Pax was on his best behavior all weekend.

PAX'S BAPTISM

On Sunday, our baby boy was baptized.

God said to Abraham, "I will be a God to you and to your children after you." Abraham believed His promise and devoted all he had to the Lord, including his family members. In obedience, he practiced circumcision, demonstrating that God's covenant would pass to future generations.

In the New Testament, the promise to bless through faith in God's grace continued, but the sign of the covenant had changed to baptism.

We baptized Pax out of obedience in expectation of God's presence and blessing on our son's life.

As Rankin explained to us, this was like God slipped an engagment ring on Pax's finger and one day Pax will have to make his own decision to walk the aisle and get married.

We were so thankful to have some of our family (2 grandmas and 1 grandpa, Richard and Brenda Faulk and Elise Green) there to celebrate this occasion with us.

DO IT AGAIN

Pax likes to make us laugh. He knows that we think this heading shaking is hilarious. (I know...as parents, it's even the very simple things that you love).

I see him in my rear view mirror in his car seat and just crack up! I finally captured it on camera.

OUR 8 MONTH OLD

Here's some of the latest moves by our little man. He's 8 months old and so incredibly fun. It seems that every day he discovers a new move and/or sound.

JOHNNY JUMP UP

Pax has finally learned how to jump in the Johnny Jump Up. We've been trying to "teach" him for months. Until now, he just spun around. Look at him go.

This morning, I put him in there while I got dressed. He was happy as could be...just jumping around. I went to the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee and when I came back I found this. He jumped himself right to sleep. Bless his little heart.
